Thanks for having me. I’m really excited about our visit. Here I brought some cookies that we can munch on while we visit.
These look delicious. Tell me and my readers a little bit about yourself.
Well, I’m a wife and mother of twin girls. I am able to stay at home and be there for them when they get home from school and also be there for my husband when he gets home from work. I enjoy gardening and entertaining.
I’ve heard that getting to eat at your house or getting a meal delivered by you, is quite a treat.
I hope people think that way. I enjoy cooking and I love fixing a meal for someone because they need it, have done something special for my family or for no reason at all. I want people to feel that I truly care about them. That’s every important to me.
Can you tell us a little about your family?
Rob and I have been married for almost 20 years. He’s my rock. I don’t think I could go through life without him. We have 15 year old daughters. They are polar opposites of each other! But I love them each for who they are.
I heard you are writing a write cookbook. What gave you the idea for that?
I have always enjoyed feeding people. I guess I feel like if you feed a person and they like your food, you’ve made a friend for life. The people I feed, the more friends I have.
I couldn’t help but notice that you and your family go through some hardships.
Not any more than any other family. Every family goes through hardships from time to time. I think that just goes along with being a family and living on this earth. There’s no way around at least some hardships.
Yes, but you seem to have more than your fair share. Do you ever wonder why bad things happen to good people?
I can’t say I’ve ever wondered that. I choose not to dwell on the bad things that have happened in my life. Instead I would rather look at all the ways God has blessed me and my little family.
In the book we read about your past. Is there anything more you would care to share?
Oh, I didn’t know you would be bringing that up. My past is in the past and quite frankly, that’s where I’d like it to stay.
Is there anything you can share with us? Are you going to make amends with people from the past?
Time will tell.
Well, what about your future? Can we talk about that?
Absolutely! I have all kinds of plans for the future. I can’t wait to hold my cookbook in my hands and smell it. Weird, I know. I am looking forward to my girls, Hope and Faith, graduating from high school in a couple years. I am looking forward to growing old with my husband, Rob. God has truly blessed me with a wonderful family.
